I had a lovely stay at this guesthouse, which is perfectly located right by the sea. The views were beautiful and the atmosphere calm — ideal for a relaxing break.
Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and the entire place had a welcoming and homey feel. I’d definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic place to stay by the coast!

Beyond spectacular!
They go above and beyond on the details! Extremely clean and beautiful house

Lots of appliances including a coffee machine with delicious coffee ☕️
We were able to see the northern lights from the balcony! I’m sooo happy!

Bed was so comfortable and linen impeccable! Thanks for the fabulous experience!

This guesthouse looks just ok from the outside but inside it is truly amazing. This is a real house that has been refurbished in bedrooms on two floors + the ground floor with shared bathrooms and shared kitchens on floor 1 and ground floor.
The decoration is beautiful and it is no surprise as the owner is the coffee shop 200 meters away and their decoration inside is outstanding.
We had not noise in the morning, mostly quiet at evening because people are respectful.
Everything in it is functional and neat. Beds are fine, there is space in rooms : the second floor is for family as it contains a double room and a living room with two sofa beds 🛏️.

Great experience, many thanks to the ladies of the coffee shop.

(+) we had the family room on the top floor, which is just huge and with a fantastic view.
(+) very friendly staff, the check-in was quick and flexible
(+) location is just perfect, close to everything
(+) the kitchen / dining area is great, lots of space and every equipment you might need for cooking.

hint: try to avoid the rooms next to the kitchen area, great views but you also get all the smells and noise from the kitchen.

Highly, highly recommended! A heartfelt warm welcome, super clean and cozy rooms, a luxurious bathroom with bathtub (shared, but just with a few other rooms), a fulltime equipped kitchen and wonderful mountain/lake views. Honestly the best stay I've ever had; if you are in West Iceland, this is your place to unwind from travelling! It doesn't stop there; the owners also run a cute cafe (including vegan options for those who care) and gift shop - the locals are catching up here on the comfy couches and chairs. Feels like a collective home!

If you are staying in Borgarnes with 4+ guests, Setrid Guesthouse is incredible. We stayed on the top floor with beautiful water views over the school yard. Publuc pool is just a short walk away. Suava (owner) is delightful 💜

Wonderful clean and pretty guesthouse on our way back to Reykjavik. Nice host, super cute, decorative and tasty cafe and store affiliated with this guesthouse- would highly recommend to check them out as well.
