We had such an amazing time at the Oceanfront Villa. Nothing could have prepared us to the moment driving down into the house and taking in the picturesque views. We were surrounded by a real life painting at every turn. The house itself is modern, spacious, and provides all necessary amenities. With the floor to ceiling windows and doors, everywhere you look in the house allows for breathtaking views of the ocean and mountain. During our trip, we got to see northern lights from our bed, spend time in the hot tub, and enjoy each other’s company is a place that truly felt like a home away from home. Our hosts were welcoming and willing to quickly respond to any questions we have.
The home is only a 15-minute drive from Hvammsvik Hot Springs, which was nice for a night within the lagoons. You are within driving distance should you wish to go into Reykjavík, but honestly once here – we’d all be surprised you’d want to leave! There was plenty of storage for food to allow for eating together as a group, and all plates, utensils, and cooking equipment was easily accessible and to use to entertain in the house. The house includes a washer in dryer – so no need to overpack! As well as full bathrooms, and clean linens.
We enjoyed our stay so much and the only disappointment was packing up our car to leave! Can’t wait to go back and thank you again for sharing your home with us!
