As soon as I walked into this hostel, I noticed how clean it was and how nice it smelled. There’s a no shoes policy in the main areas which was great. Everything is set up perfectly and it was a nice stop on Ring Road. The internet was fast and the work area had comfortable tables and chairs, so I was able to work remotely while traveling. The showers were also very clean, with soap and towels provided. There is laundry on site and a fully equipped kitchen, where most guests made their meals.

One of the cleanest hostels I've ever spent time in. Also I would say one of the cheapest in the area, maybe even in the whole Iceland (if you share a room, of course). Everything was perfectly clean, a lot of equipment in the kitchen, it really seems like brand new. Good bargain.

Hofn was our absolute favorite area to stay. Long drive from airport but something everyone should experience while in Iceland. They have a small hill next to the Hostel where you can walk up to view the Northern lights and it was explosive in the sky, Our best adventure of seeing the light was in Hofn. We also drove further East from Hofn and really enjoyed that as well. We saw a reindeer on the Ring road about 70KM outside of Hofn. The hostel was very nice as well, good sleeping and quiet. Kitchen was very busy in the morning but very doable.

My stay at Höfn HI hostel had been a pleasant experience. The check-in process was smooth, making it easy to settle in. My private bathroom was comfortable, though I noticed the shared bathrooms were often occupied. The overall tidiness was decent, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The common area was adequate for socializing, and the large kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of utensils and kitchenware, perfect for budget travelers. Overall, it’s a great budget to mid-range option for those on the ring road, offering a cozy stay with essential amenities.

Loved this hostel. Kitchen was very clean. There was a separate area for toaster, sandwich maker and a fancy coffee machine. There was complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. The fridge was huge. It was a Liebherr. The outdoor area even had a BBQ machine. The bathrooms contained both showers and WC so it can be a wait in the mornings. There is a towel warmer in bathroom. The bunk beds can do with more privacy.

A very very cozy place! Nice hosts, nice guests, wide and provided kitchen...Just one only note: too few toilets/restrooms compared to the amount of guests...anyway... GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY!

We stayed in a room with a private bathroom,. The room was clean and hygienic, Although it wad a bit cramped, the public area was spacious,, and there was a fully equipped communal kitchen for cooking. Convenient parking was available outside the hostel. The staff were friendly.

Nicht preiswert, aber ein sehr sauberes, gut ausgestattetes Hostel. Auf dem Zweibett-Zimmer gibt es sogar ein eigenes Waschbecken. Es wird auf Nachtruhe geachtet. Die Bäder und Küchen werden mehrmals täglich gereinigt.
