We loved this hotel! Located in a beautiful town, we experience amazing weather and stunning views. Athena, the receptionist, was the first person to greet us and wish us a happy honeymoon (we’ve been here for a week now). She was so so kind and helpful. We loved sitting on the outside deck to take in the lake views, the rooms are very spacious and located in the heart of the town. We got here Sunday so everything was closed but there are many stores around the hotel.

This hotel is in a great location — everything in town is nearby, including gas stations and other conveniences, which is especially helpful in a small town. The staff was phenomenal and made the stay even better. I honestly don't recall much about the breakfast, so I won't comment on it. However, based on the location and the great service, I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Iceland. Looking forward to coming back!

Tolles Hotel, freundlicher Service, gutes (teures) Essen! Zimmer ordentlich und sauber. Bisher bestes Frühstück was wir hatten.
Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht dort.

Absolutely overpriced and overrated. Placed directly at icelands most used highway no. 1, within a commercial area. Rooms are ok but loud due to the adjacent highway. Lights in bathroom and at bedside don’t work. Breakfast with cold scrambled eggs and bitter tasting waffles.

Great location for stay. Enjoyed the breakfast especially making your own waffle and the homemade pastries. The vitamin and beet drink was a plus.

This hotel is in a great location and seems like the perfect place to rest after a long drive on Iceland’s icy roads. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

There was plenty of parking available, with both front and back access to the hotel, which was very convenient. Despite only a few guests staying that night, the breakfast was fresh, varied, and constantly replenished.
A special touch we loved was the beautiful wooden reindeer at the hotel entrance adding to the cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

I think it’s has the potential to be better. Really enjoyed the breakfast, decent size room in a good location. However the room was not the cleanest as note by the food remains under the bed .

Stayed at Hérað Berjaya Iceland Hotel for one night during our road trip. It’s a decent place for a quick stopover and rest, but nothing too special. The elevator felt a bit inconvenient and slightly unsettling, so we mostly used the stairs.

Overall, it served its purpose as a resting spot, but not much more than that.
