I had a great experience staying at Geo Hotel Grindavík. The location is ideal — quiet, peaceful, and just a short drive from the famous Blue Lagoon. The building is modern and very clean, with a sleek, minimalistic Icelandic design.||The room was cozy, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with local recommendations or transportation tips. I especially appreciated how organized the check-in/check-out process was.||Breakfast was fresh and satisfying, and the common areas were spotless, which shows their attention to cleanliness.||Highly recommended if you’re visiting the Reykjanes Peninsula or planning a trip to Blue Lagoon. Would absolutely stay again!

Solid hotel and close to blue lagoon so is what it is. 2 of 3 hotel rooms wouldn’t lock from the outside so that was concerning so need to fix that issue. Front desk was amazingly receptive and complimentary breakfast was great!

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit praktischen Zimmern. Tolles Frühstück und schöne Lage direkt in Grindavik.
Allerdings: Ich bin nicht pingelig, aber ich hatte noch nie ein dreckigeres Zimmer. Barfuß im Zimmer hatte schwarze Bettlaken zur Folge 😅 Außerdem ging der Fernseher nicht. Aber alles halb so wild - ich schiebe das auf die Anlaufphase nach dem katastrophalen Rift in Grindavik. Ich komme gern wieder.

Ach, und ja : Das Wasser riecht stark nach Schwefel. Stört aber den Geologen nicht 🙂

ESTAFA!!! Mucho cuidado con este hotel. Le reservé a través de booking con cancelación gratis y sin pago por adelantado, aún así me cobraron el importe directamente a mi tarjeta de Revolut ( la que tengo añadida en booking) a nombre de otro hotel, imagino que de la misma cadena, y al anularlo ya que me confundí de fechas nunca más he sabido de ellos, no responden a mis correos y booking tampoco me da una solución ni contactan con ellos. NO RESERVAR ESTE HOTEL

Our rooms did not lock all night. Unfortunately, the front desk staff was already gone for the night when we figured it out. It was concerning and it made me nervous causing restless sleep.

We are so glad we picked this hotel. The location is very convenient to everything. Short drive to a volcano. Short drive to the Atlantic Ocean. Short drive to the capital. Short drive to the airport. Short drive to the blue lagoon! While staying there we stepped out into the parking lot and observed the northern lights! The hotel is clean and very well taken care of. The staff and owner are super friendly and they made our stay that much better. We can’t wait to reserve another stay with them. I would recommend the hotel to all my family and friends!
