The owner is a very kind and communicative person who explained everything to us very well. The dive was guided by him, and we felt comfortable and safe the entire time.The rental equipment is of top quality.He took many excellent photos of us. After the dive, we were offered a hot drink. All in all, a great experience. We will come back again.

Héðinn is very knowledgeable, you can also see his passion for diving and his love of Iceland. During the prep time, he helped everyone with dressing dry suit properly, after that, he explained the history of Silfra and touched on some parts of Iceland's history.

The Diving Island team prepared dry suits for everyone as well as dry gloves (with attachment ring, see photo of the blue dry gloves) and liner, the whole set provides very good insulation and this is the only team I have ever seen that provides the whole set equipment in Iceland, Diving Island team does a great job!
Inside the dry suit, I wore only one layer of thermal, the set kept me dry the whole time and I didn't feel cold from my body.

What we saw under the water, it was amazing! The visibility can be over 100 meters, I had a crystal view and the blue color just made me feel everything is so surreal, floating between the Eurasian and American continents was fantastic! Héðinn checked everyone's condition, provided guidance and took pictures while we were enjoying the view. The water is around 4°C year round, which means we can also explore the beauty of Silfra in the winter time 🙂

Absolutely amazing experience! Hedinn was a fantastic guide and I loved the stories he told about growing up in Iceland. I am so glad we booked the snorkeling tour with him as opposed to some of the other companies as the group was much smaller making it feel much more personal. If your worried about being cold trust me that dry suit keeps you very warm. Overall I loved the snorkeling in the Silfra Fissure with Diving Island and would highly recommend booking with them if you want to do this activity.

Great snorkeling experience with Hedinn! He is a kind, knowledgeable guide. He walked us through all the instructions, and we all felt well prepared. The water was cold on the lips, but the dry suit and gloves kept me warm! Just a warning for those that are sensitive to tight clothing, the suit is very tight around the neck (to keep you dry), but it can feel a bit claustrophobic at times.

We had an absolutely fantastic day snorkeling with Hedinn! From start to finish, the experience was smooth, professional, and fun.

First off, the explanations about the snorkeling site, its geography, and the fascinating background were super clear — you could tell this guy really knows his stuff! Every little detail was thoughtfully covered, making us feel safe and excited to jump into the water.

When it came to getting suited up, he was incredibly patient and attentive. He helped us into our dry suits with such care, making sure everything fit perfectly. And the equipment? Top-notch! I was seriously impressed — I stayed warm the whole time, and also thanks to the diving gloves that, as far as I know, he is the only one offered it. No water seeped into my suit, keeping my hands cozy while I explored

One of the best parts was how he took photos of us while we snorkeled! No need to fumble with cameras — just enjoy the experience, and before you know it, the pictures are in your inbox.

Oh, and the cherry on top? When we got out, we were treated to some hot chocolate and biscuits to warm us right up. It was the perfect ending to a brilliant adventure.

We snorkeled at Silfra and we had a fantastic experience.
Heðinn, our diving instructur was very nice and helpfull. He made us feel safe during the snorkeling.
He also gave us extra gloves to wear outside of the neopren gloves. His company is the only company that offers this type of gloves. They kept us warm and dry for the whole experience.
After the snorkeling we had hot chocolate and biscuits.
I will definitely come back to snorkel with this company again. It was AMAZING!!

Written communication prior to the dive was very straightforward but friendly.
I usually prefer to dive with my own equipment, but the equipment that was available was great and well maintained.
