Loved my stay here a few months ago, re booked again for when I next visit! Great location. Bathroom was always spotless, breakfast was basic but very tasty, great kitchen as well!! 🙂

Accommodation in Iceland tends to be expensive due to the high cost of living, but this place was relatively affordable compared to others. The location, cleanliness, and service were all excellent. Here are some details:

- After 6 PM, check-in is completely self-service, and the doors are locked, so be sure to contact the accommodation in advance to confirm the late check-in process.
- The breakfast provided is a continental one. It’s not luxurious, but it’s satisfying, though the selection of vegetables is limited. The dining area can get crowded depending on the day of the week.
- The dining area is located in the basement, and coffee and tea are available for free throughout the day.
- Don’t expect frequent services or cleaning. If you need anything, you can contact the staff as needed.
- There is one shared shower room per floor in the three-story main building. During my stay, I never found it occupied, and it was kept clean. However, there’s only one hairdryer. The hot water has a slight sulfur smell.

Camere abbastanza spaziose, tutte doppie, ma sono molte rispetto al numero esiguo di bagni.
La struttura in sè a me non piace e pare tutto molto economico e poco curato. Le porte sono pesantissime e fanno molto rumore. L’area comune è piccola per il numero di camere, però molto attrezzata e si cucina senza problemi.
La colazione inclusa… non fornitissima e con poca cura. Il pane però lo sfornano al momento ed è molto buono. Staff distaccato ma non scortese

Guesthouse in posizione molto comoda, a due passi dalla famosa chiesa. Camere poco spaziose ma con microonde, bollitore e lavandino. Bagni in comune puliti. Colazione inclusa ma spazio molto limitato per il numero di persone presenti e prodotti non di qualità.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the city, making it easy to get around. It’s within walking distance of major landmarks, restaurants, and shopping areas, bus stops which was incredibly convenient. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed Breakfast Buffet – The breakfast spread was impressive, with a variety of options for all dietary preferences. The quality of food was great, and there was a nice mix of local and international dishes. Wi-Fi – The internet speed was fast I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city. With excellent service, amenities, and a prime location,I would gladly stay here again!

Había algunas humedades en la habitación, pero nos dieron dos habitaciones que compartían un baño por lo que no tuvimos que compartir con nadie más, en desayuno estaba bien aunque la zona de comedor era pequeña, en personal atento y simpático, y la habitación inmejorable a una calle de la iglesia

Hostal perfecto en pleno centro de la ciudad, a menos de 1 min andando de la iglesia Hallgrímskirkja! Muy buena atención! Solo estuvimos una noche y no pudimos probar el desayuno, pero por las instalaciones seguro que era muy completo!

Aurora was a great place to stay for several reasons. Prime location, easy to find free parking for a rental car and convenient enough to walk down town or even to the water front. Breakfast was lovely. Best fresh bread every morning and good coffee. Laundry was 1000 ISK and convenient. Two room apartment with shared kitchen and bathroom was perfect for our business trip. Thanks so much Aurora! I would happily stay with you again.
