Húsið er gamalt en vel við haldið og mjög huggulegt. Herbergið rúmgott og fallegt en þó mjög hljóðbært. Varist herbergi nr. 7 því það er beint fyrir ofan eldhúsið. Morgunverðarsalurinn er fallegur og morgunverðurinn þokkalegur en það var ansi kalt svo betra að fara vel klæddur í morgunmat á veturna. Heiti potturinn var bilaður og hafði verið verið það í einhvern tíma vegna frosts.

Visited during winter and check in is at 4pm. Don't come early as there isn't anyone around to allow access. Restaurant and toilet in hotel is well maintained and clean. They only served dinner during summer. This is a small town with not many food options so keep the expectation low. There's a well stocked supermarket just 5 minutes drive away.

Hotel came with a hot bath which was a nice touch.

Hôtel ancien entièrement en bois.
Très bien chauffé.
La réception est ouverte de 16h à 22h.
Les chambres sont originales. La salle de bain est certes petite, mais suffisante.
Le petit-déjeuner est un peu limité.
Dans l'ensemble rien à dire. De toute façon il n'y a pas trop de choix dans le village.
J'ai été satisfait.
Petit détail rigolo, il y a des bouchons d'oreilles car il n'y a pas trop d'insonorisation entre les chambres.
On n'en a pas eu besoin.

Niet echt een spraakmakend hotel. In het dorp kun je wel gezellig iets eten/drinken bij de lokale bar die op ca 100 m ligt. ||Pro:|- kamer in het nieuwe deel (die we kregen omdat we ons beklaagden over de kamer in het oude deel) was prima.|- een douche met douchewand!!!! Ipv de vieze, naar binnen waaiende, douchegordijntjes die je meestal aantreft op IJsland. |- in het dorp kun je voor goede prijs (naar IJslandse begrippen) wat eten/drinken bij de lokale bar|- Hot tub buiten. ||Con:|- We reden op een zondag naar dit hotel en er was weinig te zien onderweg dus waren we vroeg bij het hotel. Te vroeg….receptie opent pas om 16:00 toen wij er waren|- Kamer die we aanvankelijk kregen in oude deel was 100 jr terug in de tijd. Knetterwarm door de vele cv leidingen, klein, stoffig…..en qua brandveiligheid steek ik mijn hand er niet voor in het vuur|- Hotel bood geen restaurant service aan|- Slechtste ontbijt ever op IJsland

We were on the 2nd floor of the annex, which required carrying our luggage up steep steps. The room itself had a lovely front view of the water and was quite spacious with a sitting room. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, the tv and WiFi worked perfectly and there was an easy to use espresso machine in the room as well as a selection of teas. The bathroom was an odd layout, very narrow with the shower tucked in the corner and a step up to get into. Anyone not fit would have a hard time getting in I believe. We didn’t use the geothermal hot bath as it wasn’t hot enough for us, but the location is perfect as it’s just a quick walk from the room. We ate dinner in the basement restaurant and it was a lovely experience with a terrific meal. Breakfast was also very good, having the usual Icelandic assortment. As someone sensitive to smells, I was irritated by the overuse of air fresheners. The smell in reception made me sneeze, and the one right outside our room was so overpowering I had to relocate it. I began noticing them everywhere and realize they must be in use to mask something less pleasant. The strong scent was far too overwhelming for me though.

Zeitloses Hotel das von außen eher unscheinbar wirkt aber die Zimmer sehen gut aus und sind im Stil der 1884 gehalten.

Das Personal war freundlich und konnte uns alle Fragen beantworten.

Frühstück war gut obwohl wir die einzigen waren die dort so früh los mussten hatten sie es schon fertig.

This hotel is charming and visually appealing.||Starting with the positives: the hotel is very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the pillows are excellent. We had breakfast there, which was good, and I loved the restaurant’s decor.||However, there are some downsides. The hotel is expensive, there aren’t enough parking spaces, and the door to our room had a very stiff lock, which might need fixing. |But the biggest issue was the smell inside the room. While the corridors had no noticeable odor, the room itself had a strong, mold-like smell, though I didn’t see any visible signs of mold.
