We had so much fun on this northern lights tour! Heimir was so knowledgeable and an excellent guide. We were able to see the northern lights from several different locations just outside of Reykjavik. He also took some really high quality photos of us. Such an incredible experience!

As someone who’s chased Aurora right around the world, from Alaska to Norway, Iceland to Canada, I’ve seen my fair share of Northern lights tour operators. Heimer is by far and away the best guide I’ve had the pleasure of chasing with. His tour combines his passion for the northern lights and his willingness to find clear skies for his guests. I joined Heimer over 2 nights in Feb 2025, and I can’t recommend him higher to those looking for a quality northern lights tour. The tour also includes food & drink that incorporates traditional Icelandic food. He’s a down to earth person who puts his heart on the line for his job and he offered me a free tour after a roaring success in helping him watching the data as he drove. He’s not a guide that drives you to a certain spot, he actively monitors the weather and solar data to give his guests the best chance at seeing the northern lights and is an absolute wizard behind the camera for all your Aurora portrait needs. 5 stars from me and wouldn’t go with anyone else!!!

When you think of booking a local guide for Northern Lights, book here. Our guide Heimir was incredible. Not only did he keep our safety in mind, he also had a wonderful touch on Icelandic snacks and beverages.

Additionally, taking professional family images with the northern nights are the photos you’ll have for a lifetime. He was also incredibly helpful to myself in training me on settings to use.

We had a once in a lifetime experience! Heimir was an excellent guide - kind, knowledgeable, and very excited about chasing the Northern Lights. We had a spectacular night, the lights were VERY active - what great luck! The hot chocolate and Icelandic treats were very nice on a chilly night. He really went above and beyond to give us a great view and providing the pictures afterwards was just perfect. I recommend this tour very highly!

you want to do for northern lights. The guide takes his work seriously, knows to take you where very few people go, makes it a full rounded experience w snacks, drinks and amazing photography.

Highly recommend this tour!
Heimir is a great guide; informative, friendly and welcoming! We had the best time.
Communication was clear beforehand.
The bus arrived on time to our hotel for collection and the rest of the pickups were very swift. We then quickly dashed out to catch the lights as there was already activity!
Our group had a great time and everyone was in such a good mood. Heimir took amazing pictures that we will treasure forever. He supplied us with hot chocolate and snacks and had snowsuits and chairs available if needed.
This is the best chance you'll have at seeing the elusive Northern lights! 💚
He was also so kind to help reserve a table for me and my partner at a restaurant along the Golden Circle, which we were very grateful for! 10/10

Heimir goes above and beyond! He takes amazing care of his guests on this tour and he’s so passionate about the Northern Lights. Highly recommend. Who else would bring us snow suits, chairs and traditional Icelandic treats to enjoy with hot chocolate. This is the tour you want!

Heimir is the best! He is personable, knowledgeable, and passionate about his country and works hard for you to have the best Northern Lights experience. He drove quite a distance from Reykjavik so we could see the lights in all their glory. And did we! I highly recommend Heimir and his tour. We will be back and look him up again.
