Stay away from this place, we arrived 30min early and 30min later still waiting in a long line…never waited so long for a car rental, especially when you only have the day to explore coming off of a cruise.

We visited Iceland back in March. Had the most amazing time. I had questions about the car we had rented from Thrifty. We were told this was a satellite location that also was part of Dollar Rent-a-Car. I have to say the friendly staff couldn't have been any nicer. We had rented a 4x4 and there wasn't supposed to be much snow in the forecast. By the time we had reached Akareyri, there had been a few blizzards that weren't expected. Normally I request a car that has spiked tires. But unfortunately this time I had not. This location went out of their way to help us. The next day they had us bring the car to a tire shop and put on for brand new studded tires to keep us safe. I cannot express my gratitude right up to the management. If you're ever fly up this way they are a rental car agency you can trust. And if you are driving from Reykjavik, this is a great place to know exist just in case you have a problem. Thank you again for how you hello my wife and myself.

We'd arranged a one-day rental from dollar to accommodate our six-person party. When the car they'd arranged for us had broken down prior to our arrival, they went above and beyond to make things right. The guy we worked with was extremely kind and helpful and did everything he could to make sure we had a great day. I would rent a car from here again without hesitation.
