We booked with this hotel as we travelled as three adults. We were in Artisan House. Like the other buildings it is centrally located.||We enjoyed the mini kitchen (including fridge, kettle and coffee maker) and the basket breakfasts that were provided along with the fresh bread delivered in the morning. There was so much, we could make a bit of lunch if we wished.||It would have been nice to have a bath (the bathroom was very well appointed). Also, although it was dry both ways for us, one might get quite wet taking your cases from the reception to the accommodation.||Staff were friendly and helpful.||We booked a hotel transfer in both directions. It worked really well, avoided queues, was bang on time and made sense with three of us.

This was our third time staying at the Reykjavik Residence Hotel; we've stayed in a superior suite, a one-bedroom, and a junior suite. For a couple, the junior suite seems the perfect size, but all are good. All of our stays have been extremely comfortable and enjoyable . The properties are all different, but all have been thoughtfully and tastefully renovated and decorated. Appliances and finishings are of very high quality, the rooms are spotlessly clean, and the touches like a constant supply of tea, coffee, juice, milk, cooking oil are very much appreciated. Toiletries by L'Occitane are a lovely touch. The staff at reception are all very helpful. We like to cook for ourselves so enjoy the good kitchen facilities; there are a couple of small supermarkets just a few blocks away as well as some excellent bakeries. Truly this is a "home from home" and we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

I had a fantastic stay at the Reykjavik Residence Appointment hotel for a trip to Iceland with friends. The rooms were nice, the location ideal, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend getting the breakfast basket option, it was enough food for breakfast and lunch/snacks later in the day. The hotel is actually multiple buildings and offers a variety of room sizes. We stayed in the main building in two junior suites- the twin beds were very close together however the common areas were spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. It was excellent value for money.

Excellent stay with exceptional location to restaurants, shopping and bus stops for tours. Kassandra went out of her way to help us find our property and to assist with tour scheduling. The breakfast and fresh bread was a treat. I would return without hesitation.

I spent 5 lovely days at this centrally located hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room had everything I needed to cook for myself, the bed was comfortable, and everything was clean and tidy. The hotel staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of including finding an optician to fix my glasses! There was some street noise but it never prevented me from sleeping. There are many shops nearby including grocery and convenience stores.

The location was unbeatable and the suite was pretty nice. They were able to let me check in about 3 hours early, which was much appreciated since I desperately needed a nap and shower! The breakfasts were lovely, but it is A LOT of food. We never really bought lunch because we had food left from breakfast to take on the road with us each day. I give it 4 stars for the following reasons: There didn't appear to be a way to control the temperature in our suite. It was a challenge to take a shower without getting water all over the floor. Bathroom sink wasn't draining well. No sponge provided for doing the dishes, just a brush. The towel situation was weird. Housekeeping would take the towels that I hung up and intended to reuse. They didn't always replace the towels, so I had to call to get some brought up. It seemed like they kept leaving more and more hand towels each day instead of bath towels. A couple of the towels they brought were not clean.

Excellent hotel. Much better than the photos. Location was great, walkable to all parts of the city, and close to a bus stop. We had the daily breakfast basket. Plenty of food, and the fresh bread tasted amazing. We were able to make sandwiches for lunch, when we explored the country.

We stayed in a suite, which had lots of space and lovely bath. The breakfast hamper is nice and the sourdough bread they deliver each morning from a local bakery is incredible. Our room was in the Prime Ministers Building, equidistant between bus stops 6 and 14 - couldn't ask for a better location, with another public bus stop literally outside and a 30 second walk to the main 'Laugavegur' street.
