This is one of the three huts on the Víknaslóðir trail that runs from Seyðisfjörður in the south, to the Borgarfjörður in the north.

The hut is well equipped with kitchen utensils. There is a kitchen indoors for people staying in the hut and a outdoor kitchen for campers. A wood stove can be used for heating. You have to bring your own food.
There is a downstairs sleeping room for 8 to 10 people and a large sleeping area upstairs. The shower and bathroom are outside in a second building. A warm shower is ISK500 for 5 minutes. A dry room is available. There is no electricity in the hut, so bring a powerbank for charging.
A voluntary warden takes care of the hut.

Amazing hut! I camped for 2500 and payed 800 to be able to use the hut, that has cooking facilities, stove and nice living room
