Beautiful view of the largest puffin colony in the world! You cannot get very close, but that seems like a good thing so as not to disturb the little birds. There is a narrow trail around the top of the colony and around the peninsula.

Davvero meraviglioso! Dalla casetta per gli avvistamenti è possibile vedere centinaia di puffin che escono dalle tane e spiccano il volo per cercare cibo. Noi siamo arrivati qui a piedi dallo sbarco dei traghetti, attraverso un facile percorso di circa un’ora e mezza, che parte subito dopo il campo da golf, ben segnato e con possibilità di vedere un sacco di puffin lungo il percorso (a ridosso della scogliera, habitat di questi simpatici volatili). Consiglio abbigliamento anti vento se la giornata è ventosa.

Der wohl beste Ort auf ganz Islands um ungestört und stundenlang Puffins zu beobachten. Hier lernt man noch allerlei über die Tiere und kann sie ganz ungestört fotografieren. Hier wird einem über Stunden nicht langweilig.

Didn't see any puffins in the middle of September but it was still a great spot to see some goats and I can only imagine how nice it would be if it were puffin season. Had I come at the right time, this place would have been epic.

Great stop just off the road with plenty of parking. Fun to go inside the lookout building to enjoy watching the puffins especially when the weather isn’t the best and this location is very windy. This lookout building also has an outside wooden platform. We came here at the end of August and didn’t see as many puffins as we had hoped to see, but it was such a pleasure to watch these beautiful birds. We felt lucky to have remembered to bring our binoculars. Beautiful amazing views at this location.

They say it's hit and miss if you will see puffins. We were lucky and there were thousands. Mostly they were floating on the water but there were several hundred on the cliffs as well. At first you don’t notice the birds floating on the ocean, but then when you stop and look closely it’s hard to imagine so many. We did not have a telephoto lens so you can’t see them in the pics.

Really beautiful (and windy) lookout! Puffins were flying around, be aware you can't get close, people who have zoom lenses get good photos but it's cool to see the puffins fly in and out of their nests and over your heads.
I think early in the morning or late in the evening they would be less active so therefore more likely to be more in the hillside.
Please don't walk outside of the designated area and boardwalk as you could disturb their nests and we saw some idiots walking all the way round the hillside just to get a selfie with a sheep, if it wasn't so horrifying it would have been funny.
